Hari Krushna Narayan Charitramrut

Sadguru Shree Premanand Swami, well-known as the personified form of distinctive love for Shree Hari, brimmed with the Mahima of Sarvopari Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan, had composed the Shree Hari Krushna Narayan Charitramrut scripture. Pu. Premanand Swami adored the name "Harikrishna" and hence the scripture is named as such. This scripture contains 68 chapters; 3972 doha, chand, chopai, etc. Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Kundaldham and Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Karelibaug, Vadodara have published this scripture. This text documents all the moments and events from Maharaj’s life since the day of His birth. This publication also encompasses the "Swarupbhaktinirnay" scripture, also composed by Sadguru Shree Premanand Swami. Both of these scriptures are being published for the first time and includes their Gujarati translations as well. This text was first translated into Gujarati by Pu. Shastri Shree Gyanprakashdasji Swami (Ghandinagar) in 2010 and the 1st edition was released in 2011. Pu. Premanand Swami was born to Bhramin parents but was raised by a Muslim family and was given the name Noortahi. After meeting Maharaj several times, Noortahi recognized Maharaj as Bhagwan and ultimately became a sadhu by the name, Neejbodhanand Swami. As a sadhu, he was given the task to write kirtans based on Maharaj’s daily doings. His name was soon shortened to Premanand Swami and later to Premsakhi Swami to better suit the kirtans he wrote. As such, Pu. Swami became the writer of many famous kirtans and several scriptures that are recited today. Pu. Premanand Swami has sung great Mahima of Shree Hari as well as that of His Santo/Bhakto in Shree Hari Krushna Narayan Charitramrut scripture. Hari Krushna Narayan Charitramrut is a text that exemplifies just that. Pu. Swami’s love and devotion is proven through the detailed descriptions of Maharaj in his kirtans. Besides that, the scripture also comprises of Shree Hari's charitras and myriad festivals graced by Shree Hari Himself. It is very intriguing, to understand the definitions of Shree Hari's form and bhakti related interpretations, which are also included in "Swarupbhaktinirnay" scripture. This publication would tremendously help a lot of devotees to elevate their bhakti as well as comprehend the supremacy of Shree Hari and divineness of Santo/Bhakto. In a nutshell, this compilation of Maharaj’s life helps us better comprehend Maharaj’s mandate, and further helps us tread on the right spiritual footsteps for a blissful life in this world, and beyond.
