India possess’ the richest spiritual culture in entire world many incarnations and Acharyas provided nourishment to this culture.
            God Ved Vyas distributed Ved into many sections. Also made scripture like Brahmsutra, 18 Purans, Mahabharata - Geeta etc.
            Vyasji showed the path to reach god and he is called the preacher of the preacher. Vyasji is known as the incarnation of god. God resides in Sadguru (Preacher) and gives knowledge of god to His disciple, provides nourishment for the salvation of souls. So even Vyasji has inspired to keep faith of god in saints / Preacher.

            Sloks tells that Brahma, Vishnu & Mahesh are our preacher (Guru). Not only these gods  but Parbrahma Purshottam Himself is our preacher i.e. god in the form of Guru works out everything in the way of salvation for souls. So accept God to get the quickest result to salvation.
            To express this feeling, on this day Gurupurnima is being celebrated as the birthday of god Vyasji. Every wise disciple keeps the feeling of god in His Guru (preacher) and takes blessing from Him and worships Him.
            In India, as per the rich Indian tradition ,disciples gather in large number and offer tribute to their Guru and worship Him with feeling of god .They accept  divine blessings from their Guru and also the strength to reach God. So this Poornima is special compared to other Poonams.
            Lord Rama, Lord Krishna and even supreme sersonality supreme god Lord Swaminarayan has accepted saints as their Guru in their life. By keeping their greatness, they have taught us the way of salvation. Sadguru Nishkulanand swami wrote,

Dhanya Dhanya E Sant Sujan ne re,
jenu ulti Palatyu  Aaap , Sant Te Svayam Hari.

Sadguru Muktanand swami wrote,

Eva Gurudev re Govind sam Jaanjo re,
Jene Sange Paamiye Bhav Jal Paar re,
Sadguru Saacha re ,sevo Sudh bhav su re.

            So, one who wants ultimate salvation in this life itself should serve true sadguru with such feeling. This way, for remembrance and glory, this festival of Poornima is being celebrated.
