Supreme incarnation Bhagwan Swaminarayan on this day, wrote the scripture
'Shikshapatri' in Vadtal. (Vikram Samvat - 1882. A.D.1826).
On this account, recitation of the sloks of Shikshapatri, pooja and aarti are done.
Also devotees ponder over, how much they abide by the words of Shikshapatri and how much they do not.

One who abides keenly on the words of the Shikshapatri, for him, righteousness (Dharma); Wealth (Arth); pleasure (Kaam) and salvation (Moksh) is the fruit. Such are the blessings of Lord Swaminarayan.
Many a times, God along with Saint and devotees played Holi (play with colours) on this day.
