Life of Indians is mainly dependent on farming and cattles. Both of these are  100% dependent on rains for survival. Rains are inturn  100% thankful to god. Interference by humans is not allowed here. So when rains pour in, Indians really thank god and consider it as a boon.As life energizes the body, same way when it rains, farmers really rejoice and become very happy.

A token of this happiness is Hindola Utsav. When monsoon peeps in, the entire earth gets cladded with greenery and in this greenery, people of India prepare a swing for god with great feeling of joy & enthusiasm in their heart, they sway God.
Gops and Gopis of Vrindavan used to sway Lord Krishna very frequently. Someway saints & devotees sway Lord Swaminarayan with great joy & feelings. Today, in Gujarat, Hindolas of Karelibaug, Vadodara are very famous. Every year by inspiration of H.H. shree Gnanjivandasji Swami, varieties of extraordinary swings are decorated. In a single month, 3-4 lacks of religious people rush in temples to take ‘darshan’ of Hindolas. From small children to people of old age, everyone await ‘Darshan of Hindola’ in Karelibaug. The holy glimpse of Ghanshayam Maharaj, Seeta Ram, Radha Krishna etc swinging on the decorated swing brings about a spark of joy and bliss in their heart.
